![]() I would say a couple months now, looking back we could hear his nail dragging on the floor - but I just thought he needed his nails cut. He's also put on a half pound (over the past year, even though he doesn't get any treats, just Halo) so we thought it was the weight that was causing him to stagger a bit. Then when we realized he wasn't as easily jumping up onto the bed we thought something worse.

![]() Would you say symptoms began before or after his rabies vaccination ?

![]() I would request a neuro consult ASAP. I'm Not saying not to check out his liver but with his symptoms I think a neuro is deff needed here.

![]() We have an appointment to see the Neurologist tomorrow. Internal DR said he may have a slight shunt, but nothing that could cause his legs to give out the way they are - even said we didn't have to stay on LD. So tomorrow we will know more, I guess I should expect he will have a couple tests. I'll keep everyone posted. Thanks!

![]() We are thinking about going for the MRI tomorrow, the office we were at today doesn't have the equipment. He is a tiny bit better (probably from the two days of Prednisone we gave him without the vets okay), so we might wait until Tuesday for the MRI so the Prednisone will ware off. We will see how he looks tomorrow morning before we decide. It could be many different issues and the MRI might not tell us anything - but at least we will be able to rule out many things. Will update you again when I know more.

![]() It's not good news! Carson has Necrotizing Encephalitis, I am going to start another thread to see if anyone has any suggestions. We are going to treat him at the emergency clinic. He is currently on Prednisone.
