I don't know how I missed this thread yesterday. I am so sorry to hear that Max is sick. Please keep us updated. I am keeping you, Max, and Cooper in my thoughts. |
Im sorry I got things stirred on your thread. I was just so happy for you when you got Max and I believe the breeder response to you is very uncaring. I still believe what I wrote to be true it just maybe shouldnt have been said at this time. I am praying for Max |
I do hope all is well with your puppy..I think what I find difficult to deal with is a breeder who can not handle the problem they have created when it is shown to be their problem...this is not the case of your breeder. I would venture to guess I have taken in at least 10 pups/adults from buyers whose breeder could not or would not deal with the sick or dying Yorkie...in those cases I feel the breeder should never breed again and risk another trauma in their life...I am happy to hear your breeder is working with you and will stand behind her puppy. |
Hoping to find that you are getting a diagnosis and good news .... |
I hope you got good news this morning. I can only guess how upsetting this is for you ..... just know that we are here for you and that I am saying prayers for you and Max. Hugs & Kisses :animal-pa |
I'm just seeing this thread, and I hope Max gets an easily treatable diagnosis today. I know how much you love this little guy already, and I know you will find a way to do whatever his best for him no matter what this may be. Thinking about all of you today. |
Waiting anxiously for news:animal36:animal36 |
I am hopeful the breeder will work with me but almost positive that's not going to happen. We are still waiting for the blood work. All we found out so far is that he is just slightly anemic. He is at the vet now because they are preparing him for the BAT test. We will know whether or not to send it once we get the initial results. I spoke to another vet today as the one who Max saw yesterday was unavailable. We are not ruling out Sentinel. She will be calling Novartis today. I will post when I get results. My partner and I are completely prepared to handle whatever the situation brings. We are devastated but we were given this puppy to save & he's now part of our family, so that's what we'll have to do. I am blaming nobody. How dare you. |
Max ended up exactly where he was supposed to be and he is a lucky boy! Will continue to pray for him. :) |
Karen, I wanted to let you know that I may not be online for awhile but I will be thinking about Max and sending lots of prayers. Your attitude during this difficult time has been an example we should all learn from. You've been a class act in every post here and in your dealings with the breeder. You've also shown strength, courage, and dedication to doing the best you can with what you have, not to mention the love you've shown for Max. You have my deepest respect. Thank you. Hugs, Bonny |

Oh, I would be crying, too. No one wants to get a puppy and then have him get sick. Heck, no one wants to see a pup get sick at any age. Once we get past the initial shock of things, it gets easier to cope. I am just so glad he ended up with you and not someone else who would not care. Remember one thing: God never gives us more than we can handle. |
