| Uti? Mya has been peeing - a LOT.. and at times it seems like it's painful for her. She'll squat a good 3-4 times each time I take her outside and she usually has accidents in between inside as well. This has been happening for a couple days, so I'm taking her in to the vet this afternoon at 1:20. I'm home sick today too, apparently she didn't get the memo, lol. She also threw up last night and again this morning... She isn't as playful as normal, but isn't lethargic either. Does it sound like this could be a urinary tract infection, or perhaps something from her spay that was done on the 9th? I am not thrilled about having to spend more $$ or go out when I feel as bad as I do, but something is obviously going on... Any thoughts?

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Glad you are getting her in today. The pom puppy I fostered in December came down with a UTI a week after her spay. She was peeing every 5- 10 minutes. The shelter did a urinalysis and gave me medicine for her. It does sound like a UTI and they can be very painful and that may be why she is throwing up. Keep us posted.

| I've been dealing with urinary issues in Teddy since I bought him as a young puppy. My advice is that you ask your vet to do not only a urinalysis but a cultrue and sensitivity as well. In our case, Teddy was treated for a UTI with an antibiotic that did not cover the infection, he developed struvite crystals and a stone as a result, and we had to retreat him, put him on anti-inflammatory medication and flush his bladder, give him another medication called Uro-eze to change his bladder environment, and I'm hoping to god that on the 30th when he has his ultrasound that this issue is behind us. So a word to the wise - get a culture and sensitivity done so you dont end up saving $100 only to spend ten times that or more. I've lose count on how much this is costing me.

| Thanks Patti, glad I got her in then. She's been wearing onesies since the surgery to keep her away from the incision and lately it has seemed like everytime I turned around she had wet herself... the end of the rope for me was seeing her squat this morning and make a face as though she was in pain. Poor girl, am sorry I didn't take her in sooner Did it take long for the meds to kick in for your foster pup?

| Oh, that's so good to know, as I thought I was going nuts as she truly DOES seem better already! I was sitting here thinking omg I wasted $200 and here she gets better on her own, lol. Another day off work for me, guess it's good as at least I can be here to keep an eye on her.
