Honestly, sometimes this helps. If I were you I would look into a rescue or even a baby puppy. I know right now you think this isn't an option & that it is a horrible idea. But, Guliver would want you to be happier & for you to have a companion now that he can no longer be your's. A puppy is BIG responsibilty & keeps you awfully busy & you cant help but smile & be happy with a puppy. Get a memorial something for Guliver & keep tons of pictures out. You will never forget hm, but when he looks down on you he would wanna see you happy & busy. He wont feel like you're replacing him. He will be happy.

Aren't there other options? Has your vet talked to you about a cart? My Layla can't use her legs or pee anymore either from a spinal injury, and we are getting her a cart soon, and she is rehabilitating and starting to spinal walk. We can express her pee for her and it's not very hard to do.

I am writing to you all from my iPhone ! The vet does not want to give up! He gave him a very strong shot and he wants to save him because he said that he is very healthy!!! Maybe guliver can make it !!!!!!!!!!!

SO good to hear!!!! What is the reason he has lost use of his legs? I will be praying for you and Guliver! I know it's really tough, but you'll make it through

OMG! This is wonderful! I hope the vet can help! Thank you for posting this, I've been thinking about Guliver since I saw your post this morning.

Linz06 may be able to give some advice/pointers, she's going through something similar (based on what you said earlier) with her pup Layla, who has shown some great improvements.

I dont want to get my hopes to high but at least he didnt dislocate his leg or broke something! He pulled a muscle very badly though... They made him urinate and I will have to give him medication!

Guliver has a nerve problem in his rear legs. I guess he was born like that. There is no cure...he is semi paralyzed - but was able to live like that for 11 years!

GOD - I had the worst night and morning ever! I probably look 10 years older now!!!

im so happy for you & so happy your baby isnt gone.
Pray pray pray !!! He will need alot of attention now but you love him enough to give that to him.
