| You shoud probably post this in the sick and injured forum to get more responses. Has he been seen by his vet? And what are you currently feeding him? Sorry, I have to run but you will get more responses in the Sick and Injured forum. |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Hello and welcome ! I moved this thread for you to the Sick/Injured forum. Do you have a vet you could take him to? Whenever a dog truly loses their appetite, it's such a good idea to see a vet as soon as possible. Is he drinking? Are his poos okay?

| How long has it been since he hasn't been eating well? Is he drinking and urinating ok? I really think you should take him to the vet to make sure he is ok.

| To try and tempt him to eat, my groomer (who has a yorkshire too), told me to cook some wholewheat pasta and salmon for him. Is this diet ok? |

YT 2000 Club Donating Member | Not as a 24/7 365 day diet. In a pinch you can feed that - but your boy is very tiny and not eating can be dangerous as I'm sure you know. Take him to your vet have vet rule out any underlying pathology that maybe suppressing his appetite. Also you can go to a pet nutritionist and have them create a meal plan that would fullfill all dietary needs that maybe more appealing to his palate.

| I had problems with Lucy eating at first - her breeder sent her home with Purina Puppy Chow. Before I switched her food - we would try different things to get her to eat. 1. Try the food on a paper plate as opposed to the regular food bowl. 2. Try making a game of it - throwing the kibbles on the floor and Lucy would chase and then eat them. 3. Try adding some goodies to the dry food - cooked carrots; cottage cheese; mix in a little canned food if necessary. 4. Lucy also likes a few noodles on her food. 5. Last but not least - the ONE surefile way I can get her to eat is by pretending to feed her food to my other dog. Works EVERY time. Bottom line, if your pup is not eating - you will probably need to get him to a vet. He is too little not to be eating. Good Luck!
