| OP: No one is trying to be horrible. You came to this forum and posted information that you said you got from a vet ... information about your Deputy that could kill him if the diagnosis is what is suspected. Not only kill him, but make him suffer before dying. You said you cannot afford to help him, so what would you expect people to say to you? Oh, that's just fine.....you watch him suffer and possibly die; and then come back and tell us about it? First of all....I suggest that you start looking for money sources and do what the vet has suggested...and do it NOW..not later. Later may be too late. You might want to apply for Care Credit. www.carecredit.com Vet specialists often accept it and with a zero interest rate over a period of time. All pet owners should have something like this on the side as you never know what kind of an emergency you might run in to with these pupsters. As for surrendering him to rescue....many people do that with pups they cannot afford to care for. They do it because the want what is best for their pups. Since you obviously find that not an option for you, then it behooves you to get the money together to properly care for Deputy. Those of us who have been here for a while have seen the consequences of delayed vetting. As I said, no one is being horrid....they simply are trying to help!

Instead of feeling attacked because you may not understand how to appreciate the advice you have received, take a step back.....realize how FORTUNATE you truly are for finding a forum of such PASSIONATE and KNOWLEDGEABLE individuals that have been struck by your story enough to share opinions and advice. As for the ultimate of surrendering Deputy to a rescue as opposed to just not having test done because of the cost. I do not mean the following heartless at all, but hadn't you rather know that you had done EVERYTHING you could for him than walk in and find him dead in his crate because his last episode was so violent and severe his little body just couldn't withstand it? None of us want to see any person of a yorkie suffer and hurt....but even more so, if there is something that can be done, we don't want to see that precious little furbaby suffer or hurt. If not today, then one day I am willing to bet that you will understand and appreciate the mindset that many here share. The approach may not always be agreed upon here, BUT it is always with the same intentions.....the welfare and good of our little ones that want nothing more than to make us happy. We should want nothing more than to prove them with the BEST possible lives, this mindset is usually unfortunately a result of regrettable experiences. Good luck in your search for financial assistance.
