OP: No one is trying to be horrible. You came to this forum and posted information that you said you got from a vet ... information about your Deputy that could kill him if the diagnosis is what is suspected. Not only kill him, but make him suffer before dying.
You said you cannot afford to help him, so what would you expect people to say to you? Oh, that's just fine.....you watch him suffer and possibly die; and then come back and tell us about it?
First of all....I suggest that you start looking for money sources and do what the vet has suggested...and do it NOW..not later. Later may be too late. You might want to apply for Care Credit.
www.carecredit.com Vet specialists often accept it and with a zero interest rate over a period of time. All pet owners should have something like this on the side as you never know what kind of an emergency you might run in to with these pupsters.
As for surrendering him to rescue....many people do that with pups they cannot afford to care for. They do it because the want what is best for their pups. Since you obviously find that not an option for you, then it behooves you to get the money together to properly care for Deputy.
Those of us who have been here for a while have seen the consequences of delayed vetting. As I said, no one is being horrid....they simply are trying to help!
