I agree; I would be very careful about everything you are putting on her and especially if they are all getting done at the same time.

Though I hate putting chemicals into my babies; the flea 'pills' that the vet gives us really work. Both Lucy and Ringo are outside a LOT and run in various fields with tall grass . . . we have never had a flea problem either. I discontinue them in the winter for Lucy but spring, summer and fall . . the fleas are everywhere around here.

Ringo takes Comfortis and Lucy takes Sentinel which is for heartworms and for fleas. In the winter, I switch her to Interceptor - which does not have flea protection.

True- but it would be an unusual way to present with dehydration. One would think there would be some electrolyte abnormalities also present.

Use of corticosteroids can also cause false elevations of lipase levels, too.

Yep...I only mentioned it because sometimes it really means not much at all....and other times it can be one of many things. Isolated it means nothing from what I have seen.
I had it happen recently and it was due to dehydration...that is why I mentioned it.
I hope they find out as well. Very frustrating to have a sick one and no answers.
