Update to not eating.. So we went to the vet and they don't know what it is, which is frustrating. They did blood work and we are waiting. They said it could be nothing, or it could be something. I'm frustrated.

Does anyone know anything we can do in the meantime to get him to eat? We have tried everything. He just turns his head. He doesn't want to play or anythiing.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Did your vet give you anything to stimulate his appetite? Have you tried Cesars wet food. I know when I have a picky eater they will usually eat that. How about some Nutrical it sometimes gets their appetite going again.

No he just gave fluids and something for the throwing up. I haven't tried that dog food, but he won't eat chicken or rice which he loves. He won't eat anything. I have tried every food he loves.

We have been going through a similar situation with our dog not wanting to eat. We are also waiting for blood work results. I did get some Ceasars dog food and he ate a little of it but not much. I have boiled some lean hamburger and he will eat some of that. I have found that if I hand feed him I can get him to eat somewhat better. Hopefully we find out some results soon. Maybe he is just a picky picky eater. Ugh

How much does he weigh? How long has he not been eating? How old is he? What was he eating prior? Any vomitting or diarrhea? There is a recipe for satin balls but I want more info to know what is going on and then i will get that recipe for you to try but if he does not want to eat then his tummy does not feel well and better some times to let them rest as they will eat when hungry

http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sic...give-pill.html linking this here too so is it mosquito bites all over belly or hives? Have they gone down at all? I do not feel good about this. Do you have a specialty hospital near you? I think 4 days and no food is not good and the fact he is laying around as well. I really think he needs to be seen for a second opinion
