| Has not eaten for 4 days! WE don't know what to do...our guy has not eaten in 4 days. We went to the vet they said he was bitten by mosquitoes. He just lays around, won't play, nothing. He ate a little baby food yesterday and then threw up. When we try to take him out for potty he won't step off the front stoop. What can we do to get him to eat? |

| Did they say why mosquito bites caused him to stop eating? I hope he is on a HW prevention since mosquito bites can cause heartworm. Is he drinking? What are you trying to feed?

| If your puppy has not eaten anything for 4 days, he needs to see a vet, if the first one didn't want to listen to you, then you need to get a second opinion. These little guys can go downhill very fast when they do not eat. You can cook up things to entice them to eat, like boiled chicken and rice but if he doesn't want to eat for such a long period of time, something is wrong. How old is he? Has he ever had a bile acid test done?

| WE have tried peanut butter, rice, chicken, cheese, baby food. He ate a little baby food yesterday but threw up last night. The vet gave him clovamax? for skin infections but he won't take it becuase he needs to take it with food. |

| When did you take him to the vet? Why did the vet give him an antibiotic for mosquito bites? What vet did you take him to~Banfield? If he still is not eating you need to call the vet back. Better yet I think you need to go to a different vet.

| I don't know why she gave us that....she also gave a spray with a steroid in it for the bites. And a shampoo. It's not a banfield Dr. We have had this vet for years and usually no problems. I am going back today. |

| I think you should take him back now. 4 days is way too long to not eat. They may need to put him on an IV

| When my Keegan was younger, he would go off his feed for a couple of days, then like nothing happened, he'd start eating again. Noe that he's older...shoot, food is his life!
