![]() still no word. Vet just called. I asked if there was a chance that the tumor is benign. He thinks it is unlikely. I don't think I can put Breezy through surgery. This is very difficult. I feel like I am having an anxiety attack.

![]() Elison, stay calm. Go sit outside and get some heat, but take a nice cool beverage with you. Tucson is where Carlo came from....so it is the home of tough, strong pups. It maybe Cancer, but I am finding out they take the treatment a lot better than humans. I know itis hard to focus, but wait until the results are back, and then decide what to do with a clearer outlook. Carlo is near the end of his life expectancy, but we made our dicision with a clear head. Same as with the Chemo treatments. He is family, and we are not going to prolong a poor quality, but if there is a chance that he can beat it, and it appears he is as he is acting better than he has in a year, we will do it. What ever you decide, that is the best decision possible. There are no right or wrong decisions, just the decision what is best for your situation. Hang tough, and no darn anxiety attacks. The dogs needs to sane and health, not a basket case.

![]() Breezy is gone. The tumor was a malignant sarcoma. The specialty vet said they could try to operate, but he was not optimistic. If Breezy were stronger, I might have tried the surgery, but this afternoon, she started going downhill quickly. Panting, incontinence, and she had not eaten in a couple of days...no matter how much I bribed her. As brave as she was, I could tell she was in a lot of pain. I had a vet come to the house this evening. She euthanized Breezy on our back patio where she loved to watch birds. My husband and I both cried, of course. I told her how honored I was to be her mother. And she just drifted away. The vet took her away in her own bed on the front seat of her car. She will be cremated. I did not know that last night was her last night with us, but I sensed things were wrong. I woke up at 3 a.m. and stared at Breezy until 6 a.m. She wasn't sleeping...just lying there and staring back atme. She knew something was wrong too. At about 1 a.m. I got a special surprise. We have a ramp so the girls can come up on the bed with us. Breezy, who had been sleeping on her bed on the floor, came up the ramp and stared at me. Then she lay down on her side with her back against my back. I always loved feeling that doggie heat on my back. Oh how I will miss her. I can't believe how quickly all of this happened. One week ago, she was acting like her normal spunky self. From the first vomiting episode until the end, it was only 5 days. I will find a photo and post it. She was the most charming, charismatic little dog. ![]()

![]() I have many photos of her, but they are all too large for YT. Here is a phone photo of Breezy after a haircut...I loved her in a short do. Last edited by alisonJ; 06-22-2010 at 08:11 PM.

| ![]() So sorry you had to let her go. That is truly the greatest gift you can give a pet... alleviate their suffering and a gentle nudge toward Rainbow Bridge. She looks like a real sweetheart... Deepest Sympathies to you and yours.
