just thought of something else. Call your vet in am to get the manufacturer of that microchip and call and ask if they have had any reports of this in other dogs

here is some info and link - do you remember if the vet did the implant in the neck area

as this states here as the neck area can be key in what is going on

is the chip still there can you feel it?

I am pretty sure he implanted it in between the shoulder blades. However I can feel it about 1 1/2 inch over to the left on the neck. You can feel it very easily.

the "hub" is part of the syringe and needle. its that little space in between the actual needle and the measureable part of the syringe.

so by saying it was off he might have meant that the needle wasn't screwed on properly and he just had to tighten it. that happens with syringes that comes with needles, sometimes they are just not securely tightened so you always need to check that.

I really wish I could recall the exact words he said but I can't. I just know that he said something was wrong, mentioned the hub and that he would have to be careful to do it a certain way to make sure it didn't get stuck? It was somewhere along those lines but at the time I had no idea what he was talking about. Since he went on with it I figured it wasn't anything too bad.
As far as I know, he didn't adjust it.

I don't really want to put blame on him, I'm new to the whole microchipping thing. It just confuses that here she was a perfectly healthy puppy one day, sees the vet the next and is sick within less than 24 hours of the process. She also had a physical that day before the chip was implanted and she passed with flying colors.

but no vaccinations correct? When was the last time she was vaccinated how long ago?

Oh you should be putting blame on him. The needles should ALWAYS be checked to make sure they are secured properly no matter what the procedure is . It is a very simple check and there is NO EXCUSE not to check them for this very reason.

Also as someone else said, Bloods and X-ray should be done immediately while you waite for a Neuro appt so the Neuro can have the results of those things before your appt. This could be from the chip or it could be liver related also AAI , Chiari or GME so please don't waste time in getting to the bottom of this as it could be life threatening.

Poor baby. I hope you figure out what is going on soon. As others have already told you, please have your vet run blood work while you are waiting for the neurology appt.

How old is she? Is it possible that she has a liver shunt? Someone else mentioned AAI.

to rule out liver shunt op does she does this wobbly thing after eating within a 2 hr window?

It seems more neurological to me than liver shunt like the dog in video i posted that was wobbly

and I think that dog had GME

It seems more neurological to me than liver shunt like the dog in video i posted that was wobbly

and I think that dog had GME which is inflammation on the spinal cord so if the vet hit the spinal cord with that needle this could have triggered it or since dog had vaccinations two weeks prior that can also be a trigger and just a coincidence with the chip implantation
