I'm so happy he is coming home, sure that being home with his family will help alot with recovery. I grew up with 2 Cane Corsos and I know what awesome dogs they are... me and Kobe are doing the happy dance.

There's a lump in my throat as I'm reading your posts. Bless your heart for how much you (and your wife) love him. I'm very happy to hear that Carlo is coming home - I'm sure he will do better recouping there. Just wanted to say that you all are still in my prayers!

I am so glad to hear that he's coming home. That will make everybody more comfortable, and you can give him the pampering he needs and deserves.

Does he have any diet restrictions after having part of the intestine removed? When humans have such surgeries, food is introduced slowly... from liquid to soft, and working your way up to solids.

Take care and give the gentle giant a kiss on the lips from me and my fur girls.

He is home, and I will post some pictures of the old guy that I just took. The laid on my wifes lap in the back seat. As soon as we got home, he ate the Chicken and Rice, and took a treat. He looks good, He has Pepcid, Antibiotics, and pain pills if he needs them, as well as 3 large pain patches that will stay on for 3 days. He goes back for a staple removal in 10 days, and naturally we have to keep an eye on him. They said we can get him back on his regular food slowly, over a few days.

It is good to have him back. As we were checking him out, a large Rottie came in and started barking at everyone,. As weak as carlo was, he growled, showed his teeth at the dog, and the dog stopped Barking. That was priceless, and he got applause from the staff. Thanks you all so much for your kindness, Now we just wait for the Pathology report. We want a few more years with him.

Shodan, so glad to hear your big boy ate the chicken and rice and that he is resting comfortably at home. Looking forward to the pictures.
