| HELP - Constipated puppy My 6 week old Yorkie has dried, hard stool stuck in his anus and cannot go to the bathroom now. How can I remove the dried stool so he can use the bathroom? He's still drinking water and eating a little, still active, but you can tell he is uncomfortable when he tries to go to the bathroom and can't get anything out. Any suggestions on removing the dried stool without injury??? |

Call your vet. IMO he's too young to give him just anything. Your vet is your best guide. Poor baby. | |

| I think you should call your vet. Constipation can be very painful and at 6 weeks I would not just give him anything unless my vet has seen him. It might be an idea to gently wash his bottom down as this sometimes encourages them to poo with the warm water relaxing the bottom. It should help get the hard poo off his rear also.

If not 6 weeks is way tooooo young for a yorkie pup to be without his mom.

| Since a stool is stuck in this pups anal opening....Run, don't walk to the vets now. There are things that can be used to handle constipation. But, at this stage in the game.....get him to the vet.

| Agree with the others....get him to your vet! Renee has a very valid point, gently wash his bottom, that does help enabling them with going.....
