| ![]() This just breaks my heart. I hope you get to see moe moe soon, he needs his mommy. Don't worry about the nurse you know your baby better than she does. Do what you feel is needed. I hope he heal fast and comes home real soon. |

| ![]() I had a little pup years ago. Can't remember what he had but it was like a really bad cold. Took him to vet & he gave him a shot. Told me to bring him back next day. I threw a diaper over my shoulder. Layed him up on my shoulder like you would a baby, as I patted him, we rocked & rocked "all" through the night as I spoke softly to him. Next morning he was almost back to normal. When we got to the vets, he said he was surprised the pup survived. Wanted to know what I did. He just couldn't believe it. So all I'm saying is, God gave us the power of healing w/the human touch. Just hoping you'll use that power. Still praying for you both. Last edited by pancakepat; 04-04-2010 at 07:50 PM. | ![]() I am so sorry to read about this awful ordeal for Moe Moe and so happy to read that he is improving. I certainly hope that he continues to improve and will soon be back to his old self. I also hope that you will be able to discover who hit Moe Moe and that he either pays all or at least 1/2 of the vet bills. And, that you can find out who the lady was that held Moe Moe, to thank her for her kindness and caring. Hope that Moe Moe will soon be strong enough to come home.

| ![]() So sorry to hear about your little guy getting hit. Also very glad he seems to be holding his own. The following story is no reflection or comment on your situation, but a general comment on the dangers of giving too much freedom to any breed. I lost a Yorkie that was 6 yrs old because I let him wander down 3 doors to the visit our elderly neighbors. They and their grandchildren had played with him since he was a pup. That time however, the daughter had adopted a known dog aggresive dog from the pound, and had tied him in the unfenced back yard, and when my Peanut walked into the yard, it was all over in the flash of an eye. I tell this story because I have carried the guilt of letting him have the freedom to walk into the jaws of death for 18 yrs. When I looked out and actually saw him leaving the yard I figured "oh, he's just going visiting, I get him in a couple of minutes", We never again had a couple of minutes . He could just as easily walked in front of a car. To this day I say I am sorry to him every night when I go to sleep. Please don't let your dogs out of your sight. Make sure they are in a safe and protected area at all times. We are their caregivers, it is up to us to protect them. The world is full of dangers, cars, poison, other dogs, so many things. The person who hit your little guy was inhuman in not taking care of him, that is unforgiveable. As a driver, if one of our little guys came dashing out from between parked cars, it could be really hard to see him. He is truly blessed to be hanging in there and I pray that he makes a full recovery with the help of his Mom. I don't want anyone else to have to carry the guilt I carry every day of my life because of my Peanut. Hopefully when I meet him again over the Rainbow Bridge, he will forgive me. Please, please, keep your babies safe and don't give them any chance to wander. I know accidents can happen, those little guys are such good escape artists. Losing my little boy was my own fault, and I will go to my grave saying sorry. |

| ![]() what a night, i brought moe-moe home yesterday evening, his wound and brusing have healed no end he looks so much better, but i dont think he is very happy, he has been wimpering most the night,I set up my bed next to him on the living room floor as i didnt want to leave his side, i dont think he is in pain, maybe uncomfortable and itchy but i think he really misses walking about, when i stroke him he settles down but as soon as i stop he starts to wimper again, so we have took turns on nightwatch, its just so upsetting to see him so sad, he is a lot more alert now and kinda sitting up, im taking him back to the vet on friday for a check up, he seems to have settled down at the moment, so maybe he will sleep now x |

![]() ![]() ![]() I have the same tendancy and more so after my husband died- I tend to dwell on what I could have done BETTER in his last months though I thought I was...... when you lose someone it's easy to constantly question yourself - it took me a long time to realize he's in a better place all it does is eat us up.... I'm glad Moe Moe is doing better

| ![]() I just read your story and I am glad to hear Moe is home and doing a little better. It is just heartbreaking that someone would hit an animal and not stop....inhuman! I am sure Moe is uncomfortable, but your being with him is the best thing for him right now. My prayers are with you and Moe for a full recovery. ![]()
