| my moe moe is in a bad way hi im new to the forum and unfortunatly im here because my baby moe moe was hit by a car , he is in a really bad way and im devostated, on friday while at home i noticed moe was not around i assumed he was on the field behind my house, he sometimes wonders off but always comes back 10 min or so later, except for this time, i went out searching and couldnt find him anywhere, as the night drew nearer and it began to rain, i knew something was wrong, he hates the rain, i thought he may have been stolen or maybe trapped in someones garden, i was in bits but i continued to look for him all night trying to listen out for his cries in the silence of the night . I reported him missing to the police around 7oclock and had the local taxis on the look out, it wasnt untill the morning that a neighbour said there had been a yorkie hit by a car on the main road yesterday afternoon around 4oclock, there was no doubt in my head it was my moe moe, the person had knocked him down, called the police and they took him to the pet hospital, the vet said he was in shock and extreemly ill when he arived, i was so upset that he had been in the hospital all them hours before i knew. moe moe had 2 major operations to fix his broken pelvis he had a plate fitted and pins and terrible cuts and bruses to his hole behind,, he stayed in hospital till tuesday then i brought him home, iv sat with him 24/7 its heartbreaking seeing him in so much pain the sadness in his eyes is killing me, the vet said its too early to tell how well the op went so i still dont know if he will walk again, he has no feelings in his tail so i think he may loose it the scars form the op are herendious, the first day home he ate and had a wee and a tiny poo so i think there in working order but since yesterday he has refused to eat and drink, and has not been toilet, he turns his head away and he is so sad i feel he is giving up the will to live, he is such a livley intellegent dog and very loving, i still cant believe this has happend to him, im taking him back to the vet this morning, im in bits but i will not give up on him ever |

| thank you for all your messages i took him back to the vet and they are keeping him in again, the open wounds under him and around his bits are real bad they think a lot of the skin is dead and will drop off they have put him back on a drip and cleaned him up , iv also just found out the the person who stopped and called the police was not the driver who hit him. a few local boys chaced the car down the street to tell this man to stop and apparently the driver told them to piss off, its so sad knowing someone can be that cruel, moe managed to pulled him self to the kerb and then went into shock a lady stopped and held him till the police arived, i wish i new who she was who stopped as im so greatful she did, i am thinking about going to my local paper and see if i can find the man who hit and ran my moe moe |

| Rachel, I'm so sorry to hear about Moe Moe. I know when my babies don't feel well how upset I am - so I can only imagine how upset you must be seeing him this way. It's just terrible how some people dismiss hitting an animal and not stopping to do anything about it. I couldn't do it to a skunk! Yes, I would contact the local newspaper to see what they could do to help you find this person. They should be made aware of the how serious they hurt your Moe Moe - and should have to help pay for all the vet bills you're having to pay. I know accidents do happen but then they should have stayed to help Moe Moe get some medical attention. I hope Moe Moe recovers fully. My thoughts and prayers will be with you both.
