| ![]() I definitely would not take my puppy back there. Upper respiratory stuff is transmitted in the air...does not take actual nose touching for them to get it. And, yes, there are even worse things out there. PLUS, if you are letting her feet touch the floor, she is exposed to things. Too young to be out and about imo. A few years ago, I took six pups to a photo shoot that was being held at a pet boutique that a friend of mine owned. There was a rescue that was benefitting, so I went to support them. Starting a couple of days after and for a month after that I had very sick pups. Vomiting and diarrhea. It was awful. Three of them ended up hospitalized with pancreatitis type symptoms (of course it was NOT that as it is not contagious). The vet felt that it was some kind of virus. There was no question in my mind that it started from that place. I shudder to think what might have happened if one had been a puppy. These pups were very sick!

Don't beat yourself up over it. Now that you know, you can avoid this! She can go to classes after she is better protected! I would call and ask for a rain check!

| ![]() Oh goodness! I'm so sorry to hear about what happened to your puppies. I'll have to be more careful with mine from now on. |

and don't beat yourself up - I'm surprised the class didn't ask you for vet records - even groomers do.... You're learning and at least open to others help so you're going to be fine with your new yorkie ... hope she's better | |

| ![]() They have asked for my vet/shot records. They are fully aware of her status with shots, etc. She is much better, thank you for asking. She's just been crankier than normal lately. I think it's just because she's still not 100%. I heard around 13 weeks though, is when they start acting kinda like teenagers, so maybe that's what she's going through. Whatever it is, I hope it stops soon, lol. |
