| ALT LEVELS OF 800U/L after being 78U/L last month what does that mean? ALT LEVELS OF 800U/L after being 78U/L last month what does that mean? My 9 mo old yorkie girl has high levels last mo they were 79 when i bought her she was supposed to get spayed today and the vet told me they were 850U/L i tried googling but noone reports a value that high... she doesn't have any symptomes shes currently getting bile acid test im so scared! |

| It means you should be doing exactly what you're doing (bile acids test). High ALT in young Yorkies often means liver shunt or microvascular dysplasia. However, it could be any number of things. Please post the bile acids test results when you get them.

| Any chance she could have been exposed to lepto? Lepto can cause extremely high ALT in a dog with previously normal values. Let us know what the results of the bile acids test are. |

| but lepto would give symptoms ?! shes asymptomatic! and i did not give her the lepto vaccine bc ppl on yorkietalk and other sites say its lethal for yorkies |
