there are other things that affect the spine as well so maybe have an xray done to check out her spine or wait and see if it happens again if it happens again then maybe do testing if she is acting fine but keep an eye on her as it takes alot of pain for them to cry out as they are the masters of hiding pain so she must have been in a lot of it. The prayer position could mean digestive and they can still get constipated on their kibble - some people do dry in am and wet in pm so you may want to try that out if you think it could be that Last edited by dwerten; 02-16-2010 at 07:35 AM. | |

| She's a year and a half and she doesn't have LP, she's been checked for that. Her last blood work was in october. She wasn't doing anything before it happened, she had just walked over to come see me. And she never complains about anything so I know something was wrong for her to scream like that. Im just so worried about her |

| Omg that must have been so scary for you She would not let me touch her while she was yelping but afterwards I touched her gently everywhere to see where her pain was coming from and she didnt seem to be hurting anywhere and she wasn't dazed. The only kibble she will eat is the Royal Canin for Yorkshire Terriers and she eats 1/3 of a cup about every 24hrs...its says 28% protein on the bag is that it? |

| my Tiggy refused to eat the Royal Canine for Yorkies and Precious did eat it, but would get so constipated and cry and yelp every time she went poo, it always took her forever to go and she would struggle every single time so I stopped feeding it to them! They won't eat anything but Beneful Original, except when Precious was pregnant/nursing, then they would all eat Puppy Chow. How long have you been feeding the RC to your baby? Maybe try switching her food will help. Good luck, I'm glad she seems to be doing fine now

| My last girl when she would have a seizure would yelp out like in pain and then get very stiff. It only lasted a few mins. But with my girl she would also stop breathing and we would have to give her CPR. |

| Mija is doing very well. I had blood work, bats, urine sample, and x-rays done and everything came back noraml...so its still a mystery. The vet said that maybe she was numb somewhere and had never felt like that before so she panicked and started yelping...but I don't think she would have yelped that loud if she hadn't been in any real pain. Anyways I'm just gald she's ok and healthy As for the food i'm going to change that asap. I had no idea a high protein percentage could cause problems :S. She's been eating it for about 8 months now and its the only kind she actually eats with an appetite...do you have any suggestions for a good kibble?? Thanks everyone for your help! | Glad to hear that Mija's lab work came back normal. Some of the better known foods are high in protein. I thought anything below 25g of protein was good for Yorkies. I am sure more experienced Yorkie Talkers can weigh in on a good kibble. Best wishes! |
