| How much pumpkin for diahrrea? I've been trying to search the forums but can't find an exact answer. Tatum has had a touch of diahrrea for a couple days. Otherwise, she seems fine... eating and drinking normal as ever and gums are pink and normal. I want to give her some canned pumpkin but don't know how much or how often. Any suggestions??

| i prefer probiotics and use dds plus non-dairy as dogs are usually lactose intolerant i use two capsules on a plate 20-30 min before food in am Dds-Plus Capsules by U.A.S.Laboratories - UA-1010 - at The Vitamin Shoppe when mine have diarrhea i double it up - i just started it on 1/4 for my girl that was having diarrhea after i took her off due to metacam incident and it stopped immediately but i used 2 in am 2 in pm if your dog will not lick it up like mine stopped doing then i mix in a tiny bit of pumpkin with it just enough to get the powder mixed in and she loves it - i get organic canned pumpkin from whole foods the thing is too much pumpkin can cause diarrhea so i would start with small amounts but i prefer the probiotics |

| Thanks but for now, don't have probiotics. I will look into keeping some of that around though. I do have a can of pumpkin in the pantry though so I wanted to see if that would straighten her out. How much and how often is what I don't know. A teaspoon maybe? How many times a day do you think?

it is acidopholous, biffidus and fos and non-dairy means no protein in it as well so it is hypoallergenic as well as my dog has allergies. It is not medicine it is probiotics like yogurt but no dairy. We use human stuff for dogs alot. I double up when on antibiotics and when diarrhea occurs - how much does your dog weigh? These are the only probiotics i use or have ever used and it was recommended to me by a nutritionist for humans and dogs and alot of my friends use it daily with their dogs and i have been using it for over 3 years now no issues | |

| fos - prebiotic What are Prebiotics or Fructo Oligo Sacharides (FOS)? probiotic What is the difference between Probiotics and Prebiotics in Food? the fos keeps the probiotic active in the digestive tract as it is a sugar and bacteria can live in sugar |
