I think we all need to focus on who can fly with this baby to Tenn, I think once we get her to Tenn we have plenty of help. Dr Tobias can do all the necessary test and surgery for this girl. Dont want to quote but others that have used Dr Tobias said the cost was under $2000 for everything. I would not trust any other Doc at this point. She has an outstanding reputation for the sucess of this surgery.

In Jan/Feb 2008 it costed me $1,700.00 (aprox) for Gizmo's testing and surgery. He was there for four days before we lost him, so I am sure it is cheaper if all does well.

We continue to hold precious Melody in our thoughts and prayers. Hoping something can be done quickly to save her and take away her pain. Anxiously awaiting an update.

Krystal will be calling the vet first thing in the morning. I have a call into Tom but probably won't be in touch until tomorrow when he's at his office.

My daughter was relived to hear I didn't make the drive to Mammoth Lakes. It wasn't 3 1/2 hours but 5 1/2 hours and with the ice, snow and fog, I'd probably be stuck somewhere in between. I have a dear friend that I was going to pull out of bed this morning to drive with me but she didn't think my idea was that great. They have a cabin in Mammoth and said, their's snow... Kathleen... I know you have a big heart and will do just about anything to save this baby but your sick... and your going into the hospital for surgery. Are you out of your mind... lol maybe but in my heart this was the right decision. Too bad the snow held me up or I would have been there.

I know the best decision was to leave Melody with Krystal and her family. With the proper medical care, she should improve. Let's just keep those prayers coming for her recovery.

I'll send an update in the morning after Krystal talks to the vet.

It was mentioned that you soon to undergo surgery yourself. I don't know how soon. Will you require assistance in coordinating this for wee Melody?

Well, you know, this has been super secretive since day one.

By the way....I called and YTNR was not contacted; so no clue who the rescue in TN was. I wanted to clarify since people thought they had been and were not helping get the pup there.

yeah it does me too. but Kathleen did update yesterday evening. they were suppose to get the meds this morning. Krystal's last update mentioned she was spending time with Melody, im sure they will update once they get the girl started on her meds. hoping and praying the meds start helping her feel better soon.

I dont think any things been secretive. Kathleen's been talking to her by phone I think, shes been coming here updating us, I mean what else do we need to know? other then the updates on Melody, and where we can send gifts to help for her care when the time comes.

You mentioned the rescue in TN a few times, not sure what rescue that was, but dont really matter now anyways because shes not going there, Kathleen is pretty much taking care of it, bless her heart.

Melody's undate for the Family....
 
Good Evening Ladies,

Melody is on medication and special diet as of today. She's been doing better since yesterday and Krystal went to the vet this morning and pick-up medication.
The vet's office called to get my credit information and told me that Melody now has medication and this will buy her some time and maybe gain a little weight.
If Krystal can get a little more weight on her, surgery will be easier on her little body. Remember, she's only 2 lbs. and maybe with the medicine this will improve also.

Let's keep those prayers for Krystal and Melody coming, things will word out the way God has planned.

Thanks for the update Kathleen, Just let us know when you get things in place so, we can get going on getting this wee one well.

I think the Man upstairs has great plans for this wee one. Otherwise he wouldn't have sent Melody's mom here.......
