Everyone does. This poor little puppy could have been at a specialist by now...and honestly SHOULD have been.
These stories horrify me. Poor defenseless little creature. :(

This baby sounds like she need help now...Please take her in to see your vet and get her in for surgery ASAP. I wouldn't take her to a rescue or any where else at this point, not if you can get her in for surgery like soon.

I would concur and I am no expert but if little Melody can be saved, I believe in my heart - this is the time to act.

If this puppy is NOT GOING To RESCUE... WHO IS PAYING FOR the surgery, the plane fair and all the test...
I do believe Kathleen offered to pay 30.00 for meds but I didnt see her post that she would be paying the thousands of dollars that will be required to get the operation and tests done.. it appears this puppy may have to spend sometime recouperating a bit before surgery which will also be hundreds of dollars ?? I dont think Krystal has an option right now to get the puppy to the vet REMEMBER THE VET LEFT THIS POOR DOG WITH OUT MEDS FOR MONTHS!!!! HE NEEDED A YT MEMEBER TO TELL HIM WHAT THE PUPPY NEEDED EVEN REGARDING FOOD!!!
Since we all have not been apprised of the puppies current conditon or where the OP or Kathleen intends to send this puppy no one can even make donations.. I personally will not donate anything unless it is to a REPUTABLE CLINIC or a RESCUE so we know this puppy is in GOOD HANDS and out of the hands of the current vet who was not capable of prescribing meds that are needed... ALL HE HAD TO DO WAS GOOGLE LIVER SHUNT'S AND THE MEDS NEEDED POP RIGHT UP!

If a rescue is needed to get little Melody the help she needs now then so be it. If this were me, I would have to put myself last and my baby first. What is most important is that Melody gets the care she needs and she gets it now. Nothing else matters, IMHO.

Do tell...WHO Is going to pay for the surgery????? Clearly no one has stepped up with the thousands needed. If they had it, I believe they would have done the right thing by now.

A rescue could pay for it...this puppy should already have been turned over to them if there was no chance of someone getting her in to see a specialist immediately. This is not something to play with. :(

This is NOT about Krystal and the people who want to feel good about helping HER.

This is about a little puppy who has no voice and she is suffering! This has been going on now for SIX months. Think about it. And let me ask everyone a question, including the OP...what about Melody and the other puppy's care for the rest of their lives...which could be up to 20 years with a lot of vetting needed all of those years??

Sorry if people are offended....but I am speaking my mind for that poor puppy who cannot speak. I am not heartless....I know this is difficult for Krystal, but she needs to wake up! Sure...Melody is loved...but there is more to love than this. She just needs to think about Melody...not herself. This is just one of those awful things in life that we have to deal with...what does not kill us makes us stronger.

I will continue to pray for Melody and also for Krystal.

Let me ask the question directly has anyone pm'd jinixee (krystal). and if so has there been a response?

I think Kathleen is the only one she's been speaking to and I think that Kathleen was scheduled for surgery.

Agreed this is about Melody. But from reading the posts (earlier ones) there have been several people willing to contribute. Some I'm not sure how many have been pm'ing Kathleen - it is my understanding that one is not allowed to speak about this in open forum. I myself have done some pm'ing in this regard.

My thought / understanding was that once the forward plan was put into place - then that would be communicated to those that have offered financial help - all of us want this puppy to get well. All of us want those $$$ to go to vet/rescue - legitimate place.

My understanding as well is that Kathleen is only one with phone number. Kathleen's surgery has Not yet been scheduled but is to be scheduled I believe today she was seeing doc about that.
