He is ok, but he does have some renal changes. That has been that way for some time now. George is probably around 12 now. I adopted him a few years ago so I do not know his exact age.

thanks so much say some prayers as everytime i give this girl meds it spins out of control so i am very nervous and dh is leaving sunday for a week lucky me

I have tried to read through all these posts and see you are very informed but I just wanted to add my KimMee had clostridium diarreah several times - for awhile she had chronic hemoragic gastritis and usually tested positive for the clostridium. My vet said she could have gotten it from dirt in my yard or other animals, I live on acreage- my own research found it does live in the intestine at some level and like anything when the intestine gets out of whack - it can take hold. I also found links to it in cattle and it is related to tetanus if I understand correctly

bottom line- Kim hasn't had any trouble in 2 years after several rounds with it- she was on anti-biotics and pro-biotics- but my vet gave her live pro-biotics at human dosage

I wish you well with your baby and I hope you get answers to her problems and that she gets cured

thanks so much yes it can be from soil but my girl is on wee wee pads and due to allergies she is indoors all the time sadly

She is on the live human probiotics 5billion count i believe it is but just got her back on them and she will be on them for life now

we are on day 4 of no diarhea with the double up of probiotics so happy

nope just doing probiotics and no diarhea for 4 days and perfect poops firm and hard like dexters but i have to get the antibiotics for staph i think so going to pick up clinda today

Oh yeah...I thought she was already on that. So...no antibiotics for the Clostridium? They think the probiotics will straighten it out?

no i took her off after metacam in 2/09 like an idiot and i just put her back on Monday night and doubled the dose 2 in am and 2 in pm and so far no diarhea at all and firm stools not even any soft so that is working but now i have to tackle the staph so getting the antibiotics ughhh hate to do it and hope no diarhea, vomit or hives with that so i am very nervous as dd spins out of control on any drugs although she is on temaril p and soloxine and tolerates those

7 days no diarhea and two days on clinda and no diarhea or vomitting - fingers crossed the staph will be killed next
