| OMG...I cannot believe what has happened to you. I am so sorry for the loss of your little Bentley. I cannot image how devastated you are. My prayers are with you and Jack. We recently had a new petstore open in our area...Safari Stan's. It has been advertised as a clean new pet store selling only puppies from breeders. When I went into the store, I saw a Morkie puppy. A friend of mine told me that she new that the Morkie had tested positive for giardia and had already been given medicine from Safari Stan's vet. The Morkie has been there since Thanksgiving and I was thinking that I should just go in there and "rescue" that poor little dog. Well, guess what I just found out.....Safari Stan's is a franchise store of Petland!!!! I guess they have too many complaints again their Petland name so they are switching to a "franchise" Safari Stan's to continue selling sick puppies. Ugh...now I don't know what to do about the little Morkie...save her or walk away.... I just wanted to share my thoughts and let you know just how sneaky Petland really is. |

| I wanted to welcome you to YT also and tell you not to worry about the open fontanelle too much. My little beauty queen Adie has one and it has never ever caused any problems. I was even worried about putting a top knot in her hair but it doesn't phase her. She has always been health once she got over a virus she had when she was 7 weeks old. (Long story). Anyway. Welcome and I hope your babies are OK. |

You are very blessed! I also have a girlfriend who had a tiny tiny teacup.... well very tiny yorkie with an open fontanel who lived to be 14... i met her after he passed but she told me she treated him like a baby and over protected all the time. She even held back on getting other dogs because of him, she was afraid he could get hurt ... I also saw one other dog, a little yorkie girl who had an open fontanel, developed or had ... hydrocephalus and eventually had a bunch of seizures and had to be put to sleep before her second birthday. I saw this one with my own eyes... she had a lot of white showing on her eyes ... I disagree with you ! People should be concerned about open fontanels! Breeders specially ! and never try to pass a puppy with an open fontanel as just a small little "nothing"... it is not like the puppy had a white star in his chest ! You are blessed with your little one and it is a word of encouragement to others who own dogs or pups with open fontanels. But it should not be taken as "nothing" Blessings . XOXO

All i wanted was to put it clear out there that it is not. Many people read these posts not only the Ytalkers actually. I met a BYB once that had 14 "breeders" so she said, one male had an open fontanel the size of a quarter and produced many puppies with his "lovelly " tiny size and same "trait"... of open fontanels. maybe that is why i had to post in here. A naive person can read and think that an open fontanel is ok... perhaps a BYB like the lady i met would even attempt to breed it. This has been about 6 years ago and i did try my best to educate this lady who ended up admitting to produce puppies with legg Perthes , "loose knees" Hydrocephalus, and collapsed trachea's. Of course she had her own nick names for these "simple things" ... No one ever took the time to educate her. we exchanged e-mails for years, she went to the university on her town and met with a veterinarian geneticist teacher that helped her a lot ... she fixed some of her dogs but not all. Well, i tried my best ! I have not heard from her for about a couple years now. That is all i was trying to pass.... somethings we hope for the best, but do not always have the best turn. Glad to know your baby is fine though ! I really am ! XOXO

Oh No! I am so sorry for your heartbreak and Bentley going to Rainbow bridge at such a young age. These two babies are so fortunate you found them even tho Bentley didn't make it he got out of that hell hole called Petland. Why can't they be shut down! Why does this country give a licence to people to abuse animals and make $ from it as well? So insane and so very sad. Honey, I am so very sorry. Hugs,' | |

I just lost my Gigio in december she was 9 mouths. my heart is still breaking (lost her to a coyote) She also came from a pet store in colorado. She had Pravo, upper respiratory infection and coccidiosis. 3weeks in and out of the hospital. thousands of dollars later and none thing from the pet store. we have no leman law here. please keep up with pet land try to look for other people (craig list) with sick puppies through pet land about the same time you bought your puppies. it may be good to have extra support. I did try this but no luck. again so sorry for your lose.

It is true though, please don't stop fighting. If you did happen to pay anything to Petland with your credit card, call your credit card and report fraud against Petland. Your Credit Card just may be your best friend in fighting this. It is worth a try anyways. Hugs, I am so sorry. RIP little Bentley.

| I wanted to thank everyone for their kind words. Jack is getting better but still not 100%, he was unable to get his next set of vaccines so we will wait till he gets better. I have contacted a wonderful florida animal attorney regarding our issues with Petland so we will see what happens.
