| I am so sorry for you. I read this entire feed, only to break down crying. You are a strong person with a big heart. Take Care.

| i hope she will be adopted not fostered; the vet mentioned that someone from there might foster her and then they will try to find her a permenant home ; with someone who works at the hospital or one of their family memebers. i am scared that she will be fostered and then moved again to another home knowing her this will take a toll on her and will stress her out and i know for sure she will get sick and depressed it's enough she lost me as an owner; but to be fostered adn then moved to a third owner, it will just break my heart anyone know how yorkies react to change of home or owner; i am very concerned for her

| i thought this might help; although it's very complicated and confusing; no wonder the vets can't give a specific diagnoses; there are so many similar disease in dogs; and that makes me mad; because i could have avoided this; if i only know the diagnosis and how to treat it and avoid it ![]() http://www.walthamusa.com/articles/cgismintes.pdf

| i did read a lot but still was very confusing for me and i trusted the vets; which i should'nt have; i think if i have fed her bland diet for a while she would have been fine; but they had to force feed her the prescription diet that was obsiously not agreeing with her stomach. but now it's too late anyone know how yorkies react to change of home or owner; i am very concerned for her i beleive today she goes to a new home; and knowing her she will probably not eat; she used to give me hard time with her feeding habits; so i wonder what the will do; because if they leave the food out expecting to eat; she won't ; she will starve herself; she's different than other dogs. i am praying that they will contact me to update me on her condition; i miss her so much

| Your story truly touched me. I am so sorry but now you must let her go and hope and pray everything will be fine. I would call the vet and tell him your concerns. If he is a compassionate vet he will listen and answer you questions. Here is a great website about Yorkie health issues. Lacy's Place in Cyberspace - Medical Information |

| i did express my concerns on saturday when i went to drop off her stuff. i wanted to make sure she doesnt end up in a shelter. this Er hospital is huge and they are always busy; they will not answer my phone call; last time i had to beg to see the vet, because technically she's no longer my dog, since i singed the release form. but the vet was nice enough to see and hear me out and take Ava's stuff; and she even gave me a hug when i was crying; i told her when i was leaving please take good care of her and tell her that i love her; she said i will; of course i was balling out

I am so sorry. I wish I could say more. I just do not have an answer for this unless you can get the money for the vet. If you could do that, perhaps you could get her back if you offered to pay her bill. If they balked, you could threaten legal action. An attorney might be able to help since you surrendered her under extreme stress. One question: why would she have had to be at the EC for that long? Don't they transfer in the day time to the regular vet? Can you find another vet besides Banfield?? As for your question about them adjusting. I can tell you that they do adjust ... some take a bit longer, but if a pup has been loved, they usually do very well. Feel free to PM me if you want.
