| Is there anything you can give a Yorkie with a fever? Tobi has been feeling bad all day. He is just lying around and hasn't eaten much and feels like he is running a temp.....is there anything that will help with a fever? He was lying next to my foot on the couch and when I moved it, he did not move.....scared me because he always moves if I make a move. He was so still and I had to check to see if he was breathing, he has not been himself all day. Thanks for any suggestions.

| Take his temp. Dogs can have aspirin, but not the motrin you have there. Is he dehydrated? Are his gums pink? You may need a vet tonight.

| He doesn't seem to be dehydrated, his gums look pinkish red. I have the aspirin that are 81 mg, same as bayer orange baby aspirins. Whole or half? Never taken a dogs temp before, what is normal? thanks for the suggestions and help.

| Dogs run higher than humans, around 101 or 102 Farenheit. I would not give the dog any medication until you know what is wrong. Does he have any symptoms? Coughing, vomitting, bloody stool, trouble urinating?

| He is not having any symptoms. His stool was yellow and soft/mushy looking, he seems to be urinating ok. He just appears to not feel well and his stomach seems to be tight. He jumped down from the recliner and seemed to get a bit disorinented and just sat there. I guess I will just keep an eye on him and if need be, I will take him to the emergency vet tonite thanks for the advice.

Your best bet is to get him to the vet.
