Thank you for updating. I'm not sure what you mean by we "can stop now, you get the point." I think you need to understand the thought of that little guy in so much pain that he was hiding really affected us. Thinking of a dog in hours/days of agony is very hard to read about. Whatever he ate caused some problems, and he was able to push it out. Generally people give a tablespoon or two of canned pumpkin, (not pie filling) to help push out the obstruction. What happens next time he's in pain, and you can't afford to treat him? Is this really fair to him? Some people have a credit card reserved just for pet care, and use it once a year to keep it active, and immediately pay off the balance so it will be good for emergencies. What are you plans for next time you dog is sick? By the way, boiled breast meat (no skin), and rice is good for a dog recovering from intestinal problems, I probably add a tablespoon of pumpkin too. Best of luck, and please have a plan for next time.

I agree with nancy1999. You need to have a plan for emergencies.

I also hope that you have now researched and learned what you can and cannot feed a yorkie.

Wow - that was really rude considering you came on here asking for help. I know you're new but it's just common courtesy to let everyone know how your dog is after being sick and asking for help. Infact, it's posted at the top of the page where you posted this. Please don't snap at the people who were trying to help... you might need their help again.

I am very glad that your little one is doing better. I am sure he's a bit shy about eating and and may be afraid that it will hurt again. You are right in being cautious in getting him back onto solids.

It is obvious you love your little baby. Although we do not personally know you or your dog, we have compassion and empathy. You asked for help and we gave it. whether or not it was what you expected or wanted to hear we thought of you, your dog and mostly his well being. In life sometimes we must make difficult decisions. I hope that you felt the support that was given to you by everyone that responded to this thread.

Please keep us updated on he does. BTW, what is his name? Would love to see pictures and welcome to YT. Hope you stick around as there is much to learn about these little guys.

In the meantime, Ol'Roy is probably the WORST food available on the market. Just about anything would be better than this crap. No wonder your baby is skinny & doesn't eat well.

Some good foods I can think of right off are Nature's Variety, Innova, Wellness, Orijen, Taste of the Wild. Go to www.dogfoodanalysis.com & do some reading.
