| Mine do that when you hit their tickle spot. Is it that kind of trance? They kind of look off into space and lean into the scratching? Totally normal

BANNED! | well it just seems weird, because its the middle of his back, and he didn't use to do it before, and his usual tick spot is under neath, on his belly, by his leg joint, its never been before on the middle of his back! |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | If this happens whenever you rub your dog's back I would get it checked out, he could have some type of a back injury. If it happens occasionally, I wouldn't worry about it, you might be just hiting a tickle spot. As far as him not seeming to like it, I would stop doing it, but I hope this doesn't mean that you can never rub his back at all. All the other dogs I've had loved to get tummy rubs, and would jerk their legs during a tummy rub in a trance like state, but Joey doesn't seem to have a spot like this.
