"quit riding my @$$. he's fine!" No blood in his stool today, and he's playing fine, but he always was. the coughing, hacking/choking is the same, but i didn't hear him sneeze today. I can't take Derby on my own you guys, and because of a disability, my husband handles the money. He was getting annoyed at me for wanting to take Derby to the vet, or at least calling a vet to discuss it. I knew if I did it behind his back, he'd be upset. "he's just sick" he doesn't get it.... |
derby I dont think anyone is riding your butt we all were just concerned for him. There is medicene for kennel cough you might call you vet and see if he can give you some without seeing him. Good luck with Derby  |
"Riding your @$$"? Your puppy had diarrhea, was pooping blood, has what sounds like kennel cough, and was at the dog park before all the vaccines could take affect. His fecal and deworming history isn't known and he is only 16 weeks old. You asked 50,000 Yorkie lovers what to do. What are we supposed to say? I guess I'm just confused. |
No I meant that's what my HUSBAND said. Sorry I forgot to mention that in the beginning of my post because it was late.... anyway my husband took Derby for a walk today and STOPPED IN AT THE VET!!!!!! Yay!!!!!!! The vet said we need to get a sample of the bloody stool next time he has one and bring it in, but it could be a number of things. she checked him out and said due to his cold/flu, it's more than likely just that... to give it a few more days and it his symptoms don't get better than to bring him in for a full exam. we are to stay away from other dogs and dog parks, and keep him dressed warm and make sure he's hydrated plus monitor his regular activity- which so far is totally normal. |

Upset husband....or a dead puppy? I know which I'd choose. At least your husband can get over being upset. |

That's what her husband said, not her. Anyway, I agree though. Blood in pup's stool means vet now, not in three days. Dogs are expensive and some Yorkies require a ton of vet care. It's best to just get used to it now. |

[QUOTE=Ellie May;2837128]See above. That's what her husband said, not her.QUOTE] I didn't see where that was something her husband said. My mistake. I'm just glad the poor pup was finally taken in to the vet. |
