| My Yorkie has diarrhea and found blood around anal cavity this morning Hello Thelma, my 2 year old yorkie has not been feeling well since Friday. She had loose stool that has morphed into liquid diarrhea and this morning when I was cleaning her off I found blood on the towel. It looks like is was coming from around her anal cavity and not in her stool. Any advice would be welcome. Maria |

| I would take your lil one in to see the vet today. If she has had loose stools since Friday thats not a good sign. Make sure she has lots of water to drink.

| my two yorkies had diarrhea as well. one of them got it and then the next week my other yorkie got it. i've been cleaning up poop and giving butt baths the past two weeks! you could try feeding white rice and boiled chicken to help firm up their stool. i was feeding brown rice and later learned that is the worst thing you could give during diarrhea. anyways, i would take your yorkie to the vet. my vet gave my yorkie flagyl (pill) and carafate (liquid). it cleared up their diarrhea pretty quickly. my yorkie is still recovering, but his poop is getting more firm and he hasn't had any recent episoded of explosive diarrhea...the smell and mess was horrible!
