you could try feeding white rice and boiled chicken to help firm up their stool. i was feeding brown rice and later learned that is the worst thing you could give during diarrhea.
anyways, i would take your yorkie to the vet. my vet gave my yorkie flagyl (pill) and carafate (liquid). it cleared up their diarrhea pretty quickly. my yorkie is still recovering, but his poop is getting more firm and he hasn't had any recent episoded of explosive diarrhea...the smell and mess was horrible! |
yep brown rice is so hard for them to digest so it comes out whole. Chicken can cause issues if ibd as well so maybe just do the normal food and add some white rice to it as the white rice will firm them up
also i like probiotics better than meds if you can control it that way much safer
