♥Tiny Tia my Furbaby♥ Donating Member | another tummy bug! Poor Tia she has yet another tummy bug. Six mths ago she had gastro with blood and everything but from yesterday shes got diarrhea and don't want to eat.She wants to play though but her tiny tummy is gurgling away and she is drinking a little water. Going to see how she is at lunch and maybe get her to the vet .Im going to ask for some nutrical or karo syrup too , are they both the same thing?I hope we have it here in the UK. My question is can they pass it on to other dogs? My mums dog comes daily ,I don't want him to get it.

| You can get Nutrical from the pet store - no need to ask the vet for it. Karo syrup is liquid corn syrup that is found in the grocery stores, usually in the baking section. They are not the same thing as Nutrical is made specifically for dogs and has some essential nutrients in it, whereas the karo syrup is just corn syrup you add to water. I would definitely begin using a daily probiotic in a supplement form as there just isn't enough in yogurt. This may be enough to help your baby, but if things continue I would invest in a consultation with a nutritionist before other health problems arise. If it is a virus, then yes other dogs could get it from her. Hope your baby feels better soon!

| Poor Tai Does she like yogurt? Sugar loves it....it does help with tummy troubles. Will she lick a tablespoon or so of canned pumpkin? Possible frozen chicken broth cubes would be appetizing to her as well. Good luck.....feel better Sweet Tia
