I agree He may have just choked a bit on the water, but if he is laying without energy, I also say the activity may have affected his sugar levels. I don't know what else you can use if you don't have Nutrical in the house tonight. Does anyone have a suggestion? Would Karo or maple syrup work in a case like this - just until she can purchase Nutrical? I really don't know.

Maple syrup will work or any of the other things you mentioned. Just rub some on his gums if he will not lick it .

Is he still weak? The sugar would be for the lethargic behavior. You might have to dissolve some sugar in water and rub it on his gums. It won't help the coughing. I hope someone is reading who has better suggestions for the coughing. How much coughing? If he is having trouble breathing, you may need to find an emergency clinic tonight.

| Does he get any kind of chew toys, like rawhide of any kind? Are ALL his toys accounted for? Any pieces around? I'd get him to a vet asap!

update on Harley took Harley to vet first thing this morning. He said that he probably had an early URI starting and possible pancreatitis or gastritis. Kept food and water away for 6 hrs today, gave him antibiotics for URI. Vet placed fluids under skin to help his hydration. He seems better right now. No more vomiting today, but is still somewhat lethargic, just not himself yet. He seems alot better than last night though, he is at least up walking, following me and not just hiding behind furniture and shaking continuously. Thank you all for your suggestions, I was really scared I was going to lose him. christy Mommy to Harley
