| It sounds like you did everything you could..accidents happen!! Dogs are fast and smart at getting things they know are not for them. I pray he is home soon and you are giving him hugs

| He is now alert. He still can't hold down his food, so the IV remains. His gums are really inflamed --and he wheezes as he breathes. I held him a long time today, and hated to put him back in his kennel to leave. Still hoping time will heal. |

| We will know more tomorrow. Hoping his raw gums have healed and that he's breathing without squeaking. So much...I think he said the liver levels were better. So much is complicating his recovery. Hopefully we get to bring him home. If not, we have to decide on what tests to do next...like sedate and check his esophogus? He had his teeth cleaned and 2 incisors came out four weeks ago. I wonder if the raw gums are an infection from that. Does he have an intestinal blockage? Ohhh, my Sweet Pup. His vet has been awesome with him. |

| I have been there. I keep a box of yip yaps (dog breath mints that are yummy) in my purse. KB and Ollie were digging in my purse, when my back was turned. KB spilled my pill box!! She ran under my skirted ottoman, so I knew that she was up to something. She was eating a low dosed sleeping pill! I took half away from her. I called the vet and she said the amount of med was OK as long as she didn't show any symptoms! She got high as kite. She was weaving, eating everything in sight. At the vets recommendation, I induced vomiting with the Hydrogen peroxide. Took her into the clinic at 11:00pm on a Sunday night. She received fluids and was well the next day. So now I do NOT have a pill box, everything is in Child Proof bottles. I would have never thought that they would pilfer in my purse!! Those little stinkers!

| He's coming home today! Just getting him home is exciting. I just hope no liver damage is permanent. The receptionist/vet. assistant called, and we didn't yet talk to the doctor, so I don't know anymore than that he is being released. I can't wait to hold him all evening! I'll watch him for a while, then bring back another update. |

![]() ask the vet what type of food you should be feeding; and any recommendation such as milk thistle and whatnot take care.
