| Chloe is so sick and the vet is closed! Please Help We went to Phoenix and it's like 103F there. I had an appointment and needed to check out of our hotel, so we took the dogs with us. My daughter sat inside the truck in their underground parking garage. We had the air going it wasn't bad in the truck. We came home Friday(it's a 3hr drive). We stopped once we hit the cooler temperatures to let the babies potty and stretch their legs. They both seemed fine. We got home and I put Chloe and Milo to bed. The next morning Chloe got up and smelled awful! I checked her cage and she had puked and had diarrhea all over the cage. We cleaned her up and fed them as usual, thinking the trip got to her. Last night we were watching a movie. She was nestled up next to DH. She jumped up and flew over to me. A few minutes later we discovered that she pooped where she was laying. She threw up all over me. When she woke up this morning, same story for her cage again. I made some chicken bullion and watered it down, she drank some of it and then some water. She's walking around funny now. Her back is hunched like her belly hurts. She'll be a year old this month. I don't know what else to do. I'm afraid to feed her. Does anyone have any suggestions????

| We live 2.5hrs away from the closest hospital. This of all weekends my vet says he's is not taking emergency calls. He normally is always in town and meets me there. The other 2 vets I have left messages for. They state that if you are not a patient there to call this number in Phoenix. Which is 3hrs away. I'm worried she wont make it that long. I have my groomer calling around too. Please say prayers for Chloe! I couldn't stand to lose her

| I would start driving. It's a long way but it may be the best thing to do for her.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I hope she starts feeling better soon. I can understand your reluctance to put her back in the car in the heat for a long drive while she is so sick. I hope you can find a vet to see her closer. If not maybe your vet will call in something to the pharmacy to settle her stomach down until you can get her seen.

What worries me is that she may have something contagious (the new dog flu that is going around ) and pass it on to your other dogs.....then what.....even at that I'd keep her isolated from the others....

| Okay...back home with Chloe. After numerous tests and x-rays, it turned out to be gastritis. We are making her some good old boiled chicken and rice. She can have a teaspoon every 2hrs. They put her on antibiotics and something to help with the vomiting. Thank you for all your advice and prayers. Chloe has already perked up. The doctor thinks that was the pepto bismal that I gave her under the advice of the breeder.
