| Oh I hope Louis is ok and manages to poop the offending bone out!! When we got Toby he spent the second night we had him pooping up a storm and vomiting all night long. The next morning I took him out to poop and he passed a big blob of plastic. Apparently the "great" breeder we bought him from had let him have some type of cheap toy he managed to devour. I was a nervous wreck because he was so young, but he pooped it out just fine. I will keep you and Louis in my prayers that he manages to do the same!

| I gave louis some wet food the vet gave me and now he keeps scratching his head and doing circles and whining and crying :'(. I called her and she just told me to give him chicken soup , any kind of clear liquids and to wait til' tomorrow. He starts whining once in a while but he stops...then he starts again and he makes some sounds like he wants to puke but he can't and ughhhh! Idk wat to do. This is horrible :'(.

| Oh that must be horrible not only for Louis but for you. Did the vet know that he sounds like has to vomit but nothing comes out? Did the vet give you any instructions in case things take a turn for the worse during the night? I am praying doubly hard for you and will keep checking back hoping for good news.

| I did tell her and she said that was fine..and if he threw up, to store his puke in a ziploc bag or the poo if he even poos but nothing yet :'(. Its horrible to hear him whine and not be able to do anything but cry. Thanks for all the support and I really am praying that he gets rid of it by himself. Ugh its so frustrating.

| Claudia, I am so sorry your little Louis has to go through this It is not your fault. Those nylon bones say their safe, however, not always. Is the vet certain that this pieice is not too big for him to pass? I am just thinking he is uncomfortable right now, however, I'd be scared of an obstruction ? But if the vet says he is ok , then I am certain he is fine. Follow the vet's instructions, and I will be praying for your baby.

The big issue with any of the chewing edibles (nylabone or not) is when they happen to swallow something bigger then they really should. Can lead to chocking or blockages depending on how well it can be digested. The nylabones get a lot of news (along with the greenies) because they're meant to break up and sometimes break into bigger pieces then they should and get eaten when they shouldn't. Sadly there are a lot of other things out there that are just as dangerous. The best thing to do is always watch them carefully whenever they might have a chance to break whatever they're chewing on into large bits and swallowing them. Safest bet! Winston gets bully sticks because they're suposed to be digestible, but he never gets to chew unless I'm watching him.. just in case.Hope your boy recovers soon! | |

| Ok. I don't know if this is good news or bad but..he hadn't pooped all night, I spent the night rubbing his tummy and he was in his sleepy/tired mood. Well I felt the need totake him out and so I did... he pooped, not solid , not diarreah, I'd say in between. I saved it and I'm taking him to the vet at 9ish. Did I mention he was happy that he finally got out to play? He was running and being his normal self but ugh. I still have to see if he pooped it out or not. Thanks guys for all your prayers and all the support. <3 I'll keep u posted.
