The big issue with any of the chewing edibles (nylabone or not) is when they happen to swallow something bigger then they really should. Can lead to chocking or blockages depending on how well it can be digested. The nylabones get a lot of news (along with the greenies) because they're meant to break up and sometimes break into bigger pieces then they should and get eaten when they shouldn't. Sadly there are a lot of other things out there that are just as dangerous.
The best thing to do is always watch them carefully whenever they might have a chance to break whatever they're chewing on into large bits and swallowing them. Safest bet!

Winston gets bully sticks because they're suposed to be digestible, but he never gets to chew unless I'm watching him.. just in case.
