| Well I never heard of a Vet saying that.. Pepto-Bismoluse contains salicylates and aspirin. I would give Kaopectate.

| Pepto Bismol is fine to give to dogs. There is no Aspirin in it but there is Bismuth Subsalicylate which is approved for use in dogs. From what I know anyway, I've never given it to Gucci as he always gets meds from the vet but I've heard of others giving it and I do give it to my Bullies if needed. |

| With your yorkie being on only 5.5 months old, and not eating + the runny stools, IMO, he needs to be seen by your vet ASAP. Your little one is very young, and this is a cause for concern . Please take him in to the vet. My Suzi is 18 months old, and has had this before when she was a bit older. She became very sick from it. However, By taking her to the vet, she was able to recover quickly with the right medications.

| I almost lost Bailey once because he was having running stools and not drinking enough. I too didn't know at the time that you shouldn't feed your baby human food. I now know the importance of it. You NEVER give a your yorkie any kind of human food unless it's fruit (excluding grapes and vegetables) excluding onions. PLease if i'm missing anything they shouldn't have someone please chime in. Bailey now has Chronic Pancreatitis and I wonder sometimes if I was a contributor to it. It's a very expensive life style he leads now... I would get him to the vet incase he needs some sub-q fluids to help him out!
