| my baby keeps throwing up My baby has been throwing up lately. Bout three days now. She'll throw up bile or a little of what she just ate then she seems fine..It is really worrying me cuz it hasn't stopped.I switched her food from eubanuka to wellness but I switched after she threw up the first time and she seems to like the wellness so I don't think it's that. Any suggestions? She's full grown at 2.5 lbs. threw up 3 times today. One yesterday but it was just a piece of her food. And the day before yesterday. Two spots of bile on the floor and then she ate. ???? please Help! |

| Your problem sounds like my babies. They ended up diagnoising her with chronic hypoglycemia. I am still not sure if that is really what is wrong with her. But like your baby, she throws up anywhere between once and three times, it used to be 8-12 times in a row though. I hope she is doing better. I would definately go see a vet though, ask them about NutriCal, it seems to be helping my Maddie some but now she will not eat any dog food so we have to feed her lean hamburger and boiled chicken and she sometimes wont eat it now. I hope this helps a little bit |

I'm hoping today will be good too. I stopped giving her nutrical a while ago but if that is good for her tummy, I will sure use it! She loved it! Thanks again...It's so great to have people to talk to about these kind of things! |

| usually they throw up bile when their stomach is empty; did this happen in the morning or during the day. read reviews about wellness Dog Food Reviews - RateItAll may people complain of dogs throwing up and having the runs. did you switch the food slowly; not at once? if this is happening in the morning; just give your dog a piece of biscuit at night so the stomach is not empty for a long time

| Beaux now usesNature's Recipe Easy-to-Digest Adult dry and the canned food. I recently switched to it so it's mixed in to his old food and he's doing really well. I give him about 1/8 of a cup of dry in the morning and 1/8 of a cup in the evening along with about 2 tablespoons of canned food. I'm not sure of the exact measure, but that's close. He' a grazer except for the wet food. he scarfs that down!!! If you have a puppy, you may have to use another brand. The people at Petsmart were very helpful showing me the different brands that carry the sensitive stomach/easy to digest food. Just make sure you make the switch gradually by mixing it in a little at a time to his regular food so you're less likely to upset his stomach.

I am glad there is a name for this that does not sound too threatening. How often does your baby take the pepacid...my vet told me to give it to him for 4 days....I did that about 2 months ago and he was good for a while and just an episode maybe once in 3 weeks. So now I know it is something he will always have and will need the pepacid continuously. Tina

| [quote=cajunpeach;2752283]Thanks.... I have been cooking for him for the past 2 days and started him back on the Pepacid, so far he is doing fine. I am going to check out the Nature's recipie and see how he does on that. I was wondering what kind of treat you are putting the Pepacid in...I am not sure they will work with Pucci cause he is so finiky but that too may have been do to a sensative stomach...maybe all his life (he is 9 now) but never to the point of heaving bile. He is a pretty good eater but usually passes up treats. But I always try to give him some thing to taste. he will eat almost anything in human food, lol...he knows what he's doing, lol. Glad your baby is doing well. Tina
