| Picture of Zada with her new orthopedic doctor. Some of you may remember when Zada had LP and both knees were operated on at the same time. That was June 06, and that doctor has retired and moved to Utah. Then a couple months ago Zada started limping. This time I did a search for just the right doctor, not just a Vet. but an orthopedic doctor. His name is Kenneth Bruecker. He owns the hospital and teaches world wide. "The best" ever. Specialist Doctors | Veterinary Medical And Surgical Group (VMSG) The films I took in were not great, so he took more. Turns out she has (had) a grade 4 LP in both knees and a torn ligament in the left leg. The first doctor did not deepen the groove for the knee caps and they slipped out shortly after her surgery in 06. Dr. Bruecker did not do anything with the right leg since she isn't in any pain so far and walks on it perfectly fine. I am upset that the first doctor (Dr. George Bertram) did not deepen the groove as he had explained to me that he would. The procedure that Dr. Bruecker did for Zada's torn ligament is one he himself invented. I think we finally found a "real professional" and you just don't know how happy we are. Her surgery was July 17th and she's doing exceptionally well. She goes back this friday the 7th for a follow up. Here is a picture of her new doctor. The doctor who is holding her is the one who took care of her for two nights. Oh, and they "cook" for the patients in that hospital. Zada got turkey and rice. I home cook, always have, so she was very use to the cooked meals and ate like her little piggy self. Most of the dogs that go there are medium to large, so the girls up front kept carrying her around. The first day they even put a little bed up front for her so she could greet all the doggies. She kept getting out to go play with them. What a trouper.

| That is great that you were able to find such a great hospital with a staff that looks out like that for their patients. It is so important to have good and caring professionals taking care of our babies. I am glad to hear that Zada is doing so well as I am sure you are very relieved.

| Little Zata looks very happy with her new vet's. I am sorry her surgery didn't go as expected the first time around. I am sure you were heartbroken to think she had to do it all over again. Wishing her a very speedy and complete recovery this time around. |

| The staff there is the nicest and brightest I've ever seen. I myself was treated like Royalty. I didn't know how to handle it at first. She got the best care that's possible, and yes, Dr. Hollingsworth took care of her at night. They staff 24-7 and always ready for any emergency. I just wish I lived closer. It's 97 miles from me. Yes, I was so upset over the news about her knees and ligament that I broke down and cried. I just lost it. It just didn't seem fair that this sweet precious little 7 pound girl had to go thru another surgery. (yep, 7 lbs. now thanks to me making sure she lost the excess weight). But you know, she is teaching me that it's ok. She's happy, wants to play with her "sisters" and still dearly loves going to all her favorite haunts in the house. (She has beds, toys and chewy's placed upstairs and down, but she still loves to lay in front of the balcony slider, so I keep it open all day for her. She likes to watch people walking and so on. So we don't look back or dwell on what had to be done, but just fill each day at a time with a positive attitude and lots of love. I'll let you all know how her follow-up goes on Friday.

| Well Dr. Bruecker is doing his worldly duties and won't be in the office Friday so she's scheduled for next Wed. She's doing great, so waiting a few more days isn't a problem. On our way back home. Santa Barbara was a mess with the road construction.
