My yorkie baby is 5 months old. For the past two months she continually throws up until it is foamy white/clear and she cries the entire time. I have taken her to the vet numerous times and they have me some stuff called quick start to give her for low sugar. She still threw that up and got worse. So I took her to a diff vet, once again she had to get ivs and all she told me to do is give her karo syrup. It helped for a couple weeks but she is doing it again, she is breaking my heart and the vet's in my town are not helping! Does anyone know anything that can help her from throwing up please? The vet said she would be fine to get spayed on the 27th, that was last month we set up the appointment, I think that they are crazy!!! She prob wont hold through the surgery! SO I am cancelling it. She only weighs 1 lb 7 oz. I cannot get her to gain any weight! Any tips or suggestions will be greatly appreciated!!! If you want you can send me a email to hdivers6373@yahoo.com Thank you again..

The Dr. thought pyometra or cancer in the liver...really too hard to tell. Her uterus ruptured and her liver failed all in the same day.

I miss her terribly.

I don't feel quite as loved as I did this time 2 weeks ago. When will the pain fade? She was my best friend!

so sorry my guess is pyometra and then affected the liver as pyometra can kill them in 48 hrs

and she was older correct? Was she ever bred as pyometra is the main reason i tell everyone to spay females if not breeding as it is deadly

I am so sorry and just know she will always be in your heart.

Little dog was a rescue. She just stumbled up to my new apartment and I instantly fell in love. She was about 16 years old at our best guess. The vet seemed to think that she had had 3 or 4 litters. When I found her she was too old to spay so we didn't. But now I tell everyone I know that if you have a pet please spay them...I lost mine because it was too late!

We think about her everyday. The tears don't come as easily now. But we all miss her.

You will get there... it takes time. But you are doing great ... looking for support.
besides she was an older girl... sooner or later she would want to go... she is in peace and it was fast . That is a good thing.

ok makes sense

yeah i have seen dogs die at 2 years old due to not spaying and getting pyometra -- if a female is not being bred and once done breeding if they can go under should be spay due to this as it is deadly

so sorry

but she will always be in your heart. Have you thought about rescuing another baby possibly a senior as there are so many in shelters now due to high foreclosures and this may ease the pain a little. It will never replace your baby or the love of your baby but will ease the pain.

I'm so sorry. I was afraid of this when you first started describing the symptoms... She certainly did have a long life though, didn't she? Sounds like she was a blessing!
