yeah i have seen dogs die at 2 years old due to not spaying and getting pyometra -- if a female is not being bred and once done breeding if they can go under should be spay due to this as it is deadly

but she will always be in your heart. Have you thought about rescuing another baby possibly a senior as there are so many in shelters now due to high foreclosures and this may ease the pain a little. It will never replace your baby or the love of your baby but will ease the pain.
