| Sugar works but if it has been out this long, you may need a vet. There may be damage by now. Should this happen again, it needs to be within an hour. The best thing is to keep them apart until your girl is out of season

| Come to think of it, I used this method when it happened to me and it worked.

| YT 500 Club Member | So glad i read this as I too have a fixed male and a young bitch, who isn't thankfully old enough to have her first season, so i shall definitly be keeping an eye out when she does as Alfie was a terrible teddy humper and used to have trouble with retracting the end of his penis as it was so swollen and I would have to gently ease it back in, its why he was neutered in the end Rosie will be spayed after her first season but we'll still have to get through that one. |

| These little people may seem like furbabies In reality they are terrierers, some of natures finest dogs, they are hunting and ratting dogs, this is in their breeding, you will not breed out these instincts, it is better to nuture and encourage these traits to get the best from your Yorkie, try to pin a Yorkie down and he will rebel, give him some fun, some sniffing and hunting and he will be your friend for life. My little man waits for me to take him to the woods, He loves it, at night he curls up at bottom of bed, 6.30 he is a pest, wants to go to garden. by eening he is restless waiting for me to come home from work for his extended walk in the woods. I must add I love the walk too, so we compliment each other. But I have to hang on tight, he is a savage when he has the scent of fox and squirrell, he rolls in everything he finds so a scrub most nights is in order if he wants to sleep at the foot of my bed, at the moment he stinks of Yorkie. Yes you all know the smell |

| That's a hilarious phrase"teddy humper". But I am sorry about the broken lipstick part. Great idea on waiting after her first season, I feel as thou neutering/spaying before maturity is not as healthy as waiting. There have been studies done proving that they live longer and healthier if you let them reach maturity. It was compared to having a vasectomy/hysterectomy done on a child. Although I do understand that fixing as soon as possible is important to lower the numbers of "unwanted" pets. YAY spay and neuter. |

| Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | Thanks so much for everyone's response on Bentley's "little" problem. I hadjust given him a haircut and the tiny hairs around his penis were actually preventing him from retracting. So gently lifting the outer skin to allow the hairs to pull out allowed the shaft to retract. Thanks so much for everyone's help. I will definitely get Porsche spayed before her next heat, which should be in Dec or Jan. I promise to get it done by no later than November.
