Also people where asking what her story was. She was abandoned at the vet... the old owner could not afford her vet bill. So the animal shleter picked her up. She has had babies before and had a tattoo in her ear so she is pure breed. So they think she may have been a breeder I don't think so though. She has had babies before but we rescued a pupp mill dog once and her nipples where a lot larger... and you could just tell she had been a breeder.

She is very well behaved, she comes when you call her, sits and goes on her wee wee pad or outside perfect not one accident yet! She does not act like an old lady at all!

My breeder rescue has very tiny nipples now that she hasn't nursed a pup in a year about the size of a small mole.

It is wonderful of you to take that sweet girl and love her. It touches my heart that you have been so wonderful to her and that she is now in a loving home and going to have a healthy happy life.

Really? I never thought they would go through the hassle? I thought that good breeders did it too there breeders or adult dogs. And maybe a puppymill got a well breed dog and then used her too breed.

Anyway I dunno but I am glad she is happy now!

really? Oh I thought maybe she wasn't breed that much but that makes me wonder. She was spayed when the got her? but she has had puppies...

Oh I'm so glad that you got your baby back. Bless you for saving the little one at the pound. I recently fostered an older girl that was taken to my vet by a rescue that had pulled her from a shelter. She was attacked by one of the rescuers dogs. She had eye damage and had to have surgery and lost sight in that eye. She had damage to some bones in her mouth and lost alot of teeth. She had many mammary tumors and she ended up having all of her breast removed and she had a laceration on her head. I already had 2 older yorkies and a 3 yr old shorkie and really did not want another older dog but I agreed to foster her until we could find her a home. Well of course no one wants and older damaged yorkie so I adopted her. She is a blessing. She was housetrained and is the smartest dog I've ever owned. I hope you'll have such good luck with your new little one.

Mills do tattoo their dogs. A thought could be that someone previous to you rescued her from a mill hence her reason for being spayed when turned in and possibly it was her second home that could not afford the vet bills anymore. Based on her condition, my guess is that she was a mill dog at some point in her life which would explain the teeth and gum issue. The teeth become so rotted and left untreated that they actually start to rot through the jaw. You won't ever know her past but thankfully, she has a good future ahead. I'm sure she has been through more then you'll care to know. Thank you for taking her and giving her a home for however she has left. Not many people would be as kind as that.
