| Ramsey Fell I'm 5 hours away from home on a business trip. I talked to DH tonight and he told me that he's literally been sick to his stomach since last night. He was repairing one of the top stairs in our flight of 16 stairs and, when he left to go get a tool, Ramsey ran up the stairs and then fell through the whole, a 10-foot drop! Ramsey had been with our youngest daughter in a different room and she didn't realize that DH had left so she let him out of the room. They ended up racing Ramsey to the vet for an emergency visit. The vet checked him all over and couldn't find any broken bones or any other injury. He said he believed he was just very bruised and sore and to keep an eye on him for 24 hours and bring him back if he wasn't acting right. DH spent a sleepless night with Ramsey in his bed right next to him and listened to him groan each time he turned over, but otherwise he seemed okay. He stayed home from work for a few hours this morning to make sure that he was acting okay then left when our oldest DD got home. He said that Ramsey is acting fine now and is even jumping in and out of the laundry baskets as he loves to do. He said he has never been so worried as he has been these past 24 hours. He didn't want to call me and tell me what had happened until he had to so that I wouldn't worry. He feels terrible that this happened while I was gone and he was 'in charge'. |

| OMG!! Thank God he's ok! Your poor husband, I can only imagine his terror. Sounds like he did everything exactly right, though. Still, 10 feet - wow!

| I know. He feels so badly. This is the 2nd time that something has happened when I haven't been home. He said all he could think about was having to call me with bad news. He has not been able to eat since it happened. He said the kids think Ramsey is absolutely fine now, but he's still keeping a really close eye on him. I imagine he'll be relieved when I get home tomorrow night. |

| Glad to hear Ramsey is ok and man that was quite a fall. I am sure your hubby feels bad and I know he was afraid to tell you. These little guys can get into trouble so quick. They know no fear.

| Have you taken your furbaby to the vet for an xray? When Uni was only 3 months, I would wake up multiple times in the night to see if she needed to potty. One morning at 4am I was a bit clumsy, pushed on her bladder, and she squirmed. She fell and landed on her right hand, and squealed for about 3 mins. I felt her hand after, and massaged it to see if pressure on it hurt her, it didn't. ( I thought it was fractured) Since then she is so strong, jumps from high places, thinks she is invincible! (as all yorkie do) That said 10 feet is a HUGE drop. Please take him to the vet and get an xray!

| well sounds to me like you leave ramsey in good hands when you have to be gone...your dh ( I don;t know what that stands for) did everything possible to take care of little ramsey...accidents happen no matter whos there it's the response that can be critical for the outcome sometimes...not always..sometimes you can do everything right and there is just a call for them to come home..but i'm very happy that everything is ok with ramsey..he's a tough little man
