| Blowing air out of nose (sneezing?) Hi everyone. My yorkie Frederick has been acting strangely the past few days. He first was coughing and then started sneezing. The cough went away quickly, but now he is constanty blowing bursts of air out of his nose. Every now and then he has a real sneeze, but mostly it is just these bursts of air. He isn't as active as usual either. He will still play, but he is not constantly begging to play like he normally does. He almost acts like something is stuck in his nose, but I dont think anything could really be in his nose. The vet prescribed a steroid for allergies, but he has had 4 doses, and no change. Any ideas? Thanks in advance for the help!!! Chris |

| kayden did that for a few days when she was younger. i thought it might be something in her nose, too. but when she went to the vet for her immunizaitons, they told me everything was fine. she just stopped doing it after a few days. i hope your baby does the same. maybe someone else has ideas... kelli |

| Yes, he is up to date on all his vaccines. I went back to the vet yesterday and they prescribed Clavamox in case he has a respiratory infection. I've also noticed recently that he gets out of breath easily. Hopefully the medications start working soon. |

| If he was given an up the nose kennel cough vaccine then that is a live vaccine and can actually cause the virus in some pets. There is a shot with a killed virus, but I have not used it yet...
