Not sure what to do or what it is?? help? So this morning I woke up to find that my little bentley has diahreha. I was cleaning up and I noticed some blood on the carpet and some on the pad... He seems ok. Also I think he has been throwing up as well. I'm not 100% positive that he is the one vomiting, as I have another male but he seems completley fine. But I really do think it is Bentley that is vomiting. What should I do? Does anyone know what it could be? how serious is it? Should I take him to the vet??? thanks for the advice!!

update So I just got back from the vet. They drew some blood so I won't have a definite answer quite yet. Then they stuffed him with fluid and gave him some antibiotics. They said it could be pancreatitis (what is it? How can you tell?) or just that he is sensitive to eating certain foods. I'll let you know once the vet calls!

Unfortunately, Yorkies are prone to pancreatitis. I am so glad you took him to the vet so quickly.

| So sorry Bently is ill. Hope you find answers. Maybe someone else can answer, but isn't puppy food extremely high in fat/protein and aggravate pancreatitis? Since Cocoa has pancreas issues I've been doing research on the net and I thought that was one bit of info that I read.

No. They get 1 can between the two of them, so 1/2 a can a day. I give them the puppy food cause they are both very thin (and my patents think I don't feed them, but I do!) other than that they eat science diet small bites. what webite did you find that rates the dog food brands?
