So happy to hear he is doing better! You are doing a wonderful job  |
Here is Thor at his best :) hearing the treat bag rattle and performing the first trick i taught him! |
Yay Little Thor....I just knew once you got some REAL FOOD u would be feeling better...now ur mamas got to make those nice turkey strip treats in the oven 4 u :D |
Oh so glad he is acting so much better. He's a little sweetheart. Good job with his food. He just needed his momma to fix the right stuff. |
I am really glad to see the updates  I am a home cooker as well. I do have some concerns about the recipe though....A lot of the ingredients I would never feel comfortable feeding. If you are ok with homecooking I would consult a Pet Nutritionist. Susan Davis is highly recommended here on YT and the consult and diet she prepares are not only healthy, holistic and natural, they are also balanced properly, which I am sorry to say, but I do not feel the recipe you were given is balanced. I also believe that Susan Davis is pretty reasonable with her fee. Pet Nutritionist Holistic Pet Susan Davis |

Welcome to YT :) |
Yay for little Thor!!!!! Good for you! |
I am so glad to see the updated video:Dwhat a little sweetie pie! I am so happy he is doing better.....he is so lucky to have you for his Mommy!!! |
Thor is very cute! Is he passing his stools easier with the new diet? |
Hey, I am not sure how the stools are going to be with the new diet. This video is just him as he is on the medicine. Today was the first day we started him on the new diet. I waited about a week to hear from all the vets that I emailed and no one could really offer any help. Even the Memphis vets that said that they could but the tests would be 2000$ mentioned that there may not be any treatment, as they had never seen a dog do this before. SO after no luck there, we decided a natural diet was the next step. The vet searched for a highly digestible food and this was the one he found so we are using it. My daughter got a kick out of helping make it and even tasted it afterwards! haha. I searched the forum here and the web in general for a recipe but preferred using one that is vet recommended. |
:hands: :hands: :hands: Praying this new diet will work for Thor. Sending lots of love and prayers your way. |
I too hope and pray this works...feel better real soon Thor!!! |
Yeah for Thor! I never thought I'd find myself saying this, but let us know how the next "poopy" goes now that he's eating natural food. |
hah...I will :) He hasn't pooppied yet,... not since this morning BEFORE the new food. Rob said he was a little loud but not as bad as you guys have seen in the video. He is tearing up the food though, that is for sure. He hears the microwave and runs to his bowl thinking he is getting more! ( we warm it a bit before giving it to him) He has had 2 servings so far today and the vet said to feed him UP TO 8oz a day but no more than that. Rob also said he took his puppy vitamin this morning with absolutely no problems. I feel things are looking up. I was getting sad because some vets were suggesting euthanasia and that broke my heart. NO I don't want him in pain 3-5 times a day for his whole life but I also want to give him every chance before that ya know.... |
