Thanks everyone.
Cali does have mild MVD and is on an immune suppressing medicine for her allergies.
Jolissa-- Sounds just like Cali, it is not as bad this time but has been on her regular diet.
I took Cali in first thing this morning and they gace her SQ fluids and some medicine and she is doing better. Vet said if she wasn't better to call her first thing tomorrow. She does have a temperature too. So far she is eating and resting.

Patti, when Pee-Nut was sick with HGE the vet put him on the special diet and said that it may be something he has to be on for the rest of his life. I found cooking chicken and rice for him helped alot as he was not eating the science diet but when I added the homecooked to it he ate it and was fine. I hope Cali is feeling better. Keri & Pee-Nut

Thanks I am going to ask the vet about her food. She is on a pretty bland California Natural lamb and rice and their health bars as treats.

Oh, dear. I am so sorry Cali is sick again.

Lady had HGE three times in four months last year.

HGE can be caused by a bacteria (Clostridium). Was Cali on antibiotics the last time?

I agree with Luvmysissy. Probiotics and colostrum to boost the immune system may really help.

What do you feed Cali? I switched Lady to a homecooked diet and added probiotics after her last HGE episode because she got diarrhea again just a few weeks after I started her back on her commercial food just like Cali. That was right after Labor Day and, knock wood, she's been fine ever since.

I am so sorry about your baby. As of right now I do not know much about HGE , but am starting to do research on it this week. I sure hope your little one is up and feeling better soon!
