Cali is sick again
 
Please keep Cali in your prayers. As you may recall, she had HGE 2 weeks ago and has been fine for about a week or so. During the night and early this morning she had bad diaharea again. I will try and get her a vet appointment today. I didn't think that HGE would come back so soon or maybe it was never completely gone. If anyone is familiar with HGE and has any advice I would appreciate it. Thanks

Oh, I'm so sorry she's sick again. I don't know anything about this either, but you'll both be in my prayers!

Ahhh...I am really sorry she is sick again :(

Is the Cali the one that has mild MVD? If so, I wonder if this is related to the HGE :confused:

I feel so bad that Cali is sick again. I don\'t know much of anything about HGE except what I read back when she was sick. I don\'t recall seeing that it comes back but I may have missed that. I will pray for your sweet Cali. Hugs to you.

Yes, this happened to my Savannah. My vet put her back on her regular food too soon. Two weeks later, she got HGE again. I decided to keep her on her ID prescription dry food forever. The vet agreed that that would be a good idea. She eats ID 2x\'s a day & gets bland dog treats. She has been fine for over 2 years now. Sometimes the vets don\'t know everything. The second time Savannah got sick it wasn\'t as bad as the first time. Good luck to you with your baby.

I\'ve been internet MIA since getting back last night but I just had to tell you how sorry I am that Cali is sick again! Zoe sends virtual kisses and hopes that she gets better soon! And I just hope the vet can figure out what\'s going on and how to fix it!

I don\'t know much about it other than it is an infection that involves the gastrointestinal system.

Did you start her on probiotics? If not, that might help get her system healthier. Askariel.com make a great one specifically for furkids. I would also recommend adding colostrum once a day (you open a capsule and empty into a small amount of warm water and they lap it right up!!! This helps boost the immune system. Again you can get them at askariel.com.

Hope this helps and hope Cali is better really soom.....
